Troy’s Spinerval workouts have been a training mainstay for a long time.  But what we really like is that he also offers training for running, swimming, weight training, yoga .... He also offers some for download in Itunes or Windows media formats.  Plus for the super serious there’s still his coaching and training camps.

Lots of cycling news magazines and friends of ours recommend these videos.  David uses licensed footage from professional races and great music along with on screen coaching to put you through some of the toughest workouts.  

Best of all you can download and save these right on your computer, dvd and portables like Iphones (they are in .mp4 format.)  There’s backup cds available too.  The footage gets a little grainy on those super sized flat screens but we were too hurt to care!

Need your coffee fix?  You HAVE to go to Merlin’s on Franklin street in Hanover!  Most days you’ll smell the coffee roasting RIGHT THERE at Eric’s shop.  You can’t beat that for fresh, awesome coffee.  He’s got too many flavors and blends to mention!  He does all the frozen drinks and espressos too - he’s even got local donuts, pastries, and sandwiches.  Sit out on the deck or relax on a couch and chat inside.  Start and end your ride day there!

Order online or visit one of York’s Farmer’s Markets.  Local business who uses local ingredients.  Nuts about Granola is your go-to for snacking healthy!  Nothing artificial or preserved - check out their facebook page for more!  Plus you can order from their webpage if you’d like to ship some as gifts for the holidays!

Starr Pottery
Worth going just to look at the bronze sculptures and treasures tucked away around the property!  Lots of pottery for everyday use like coffee mugs, soup bowls, vases, plates, and more!  Always something new when you stop by the big red barn on Abbottstown Pike (route 194).
